Youth Medical Seminar

This internship is for 18-30 year old participants who will be introduced to anthroposophical medical, nursing, therapeutic, and biodynamic principles. Within a community of anthroposophically-oriented youth, you will have an opportunity for hands-on work experience in an anthroposophical setting. The youth program is free except for a small registration fee. Eligible medical students may use this program as a rotation.

 

Schedule

Days 1-3, Learn about the foundations of anthroposophy, anthroposophic and sustainable medicine, nursing care, therapies, nutrition, lifestyle, biodynamic agriculture, and community building

Days 4-7, Work at an anthroposophic health retreat for low-income patients, putting what you learned into practice, according to your interests and abilities. 

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I find out if I have been accepted?

All applications received before March 30 will be notified by April 15. Applications submitted after March 30 will be reviewed at the end of each month. We will accept 12 applicants for the program, at which time they will be asked for additional information. Applicants must be at least 18 by June 13th.

 

Does the program cost anything?

 If you are accepted to the program, you will need to send in a registration form along with a $75 registration fee to register officially. The Learn-Work-Share program itself is free, but donations are welcome. If you, or your family members or friends would like to support this program, please send donations to RSHC, 1422. W. Liberty St., Ann Arbor MI 48103. Make checks out to RSHC and specify ‘donation’ in the memo line, or call to give us credit card info.  RSHC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

What about housing and food?

If accepted you will be housed at the Rudolf Steiner Health Center.  Ovo-lacto-vegetarian meals are included as part of the program.
