I carry peace within me,
I carry within myself
The forces that strengthen me.
I will fill myself
with these forces’ warmth,
I will penetrate myself
with my will’s power.
And I will feel
how peace pours
through all my being
when strengthening myself,
through my striving’s power,
I find in me
peace and strength.
Meditation 2
Clear in thinking,
inward in feeling
collected, composed in will:
if I work for this
then I can hope
to find my way through life:
apparent to others’ hearts,
fulfilling my tasks.
For clarity
is kindled by soul light,
and inwardness
sustains the spirit’s warmth,
composure
strengthens life.
And working for all this,
with trust in God,
leads us on our life’s
path in good, sure steps.
